Audience Reviews for R.I.P.D. Mediocre at best. This could’ve been a really cool film if had decided what the hell it wanted to be. It’s too goofy to be a real cop film, but it’s not funny enough to be a comedy. So it falls horribly flat on both accounts, and that’s why this film just isn’t good.

What is the movie Ripd about?
Veteran lawman Roy Pulsifer (Jeff Bridges) works for the R.I.P.D., a legendary police force charged with finding monstrous spirits who are disguised as ordinary people but are trying to avoid their final judgment by hiding out among the living. When Roy and his new partner, Nick Walker (Ryan Reynolds), uncover a plot that could end all life, they must discover a way to restore the cosmic balance or else watch the tunnel to the afterlife start sending angry souls back to the world of the living.
What happens at the end of Ripd?
Nick goes to Julia, but she is dead. . Back at the station, she tells Roy and Nick that their suspensions have been lifted and are reinstated to the R.I.P.D. The movie ends with Roy telling Nick that he was able to get his avatar changed, since he didn’t like being an old Chinese man.

Deados are the main antagonists of R.I.P.D.. They are human spirits who have died but could not or refused to move on the the afterlife. They return to Earth as chaotic ghosts, causing disruptions in the world. It is the responsibility of the R.I.P.D to capture deados and send them to the afterlife.
