Is there a 9th Outlander book?
GO TELL THE BEES THAT I AM GONE (aka “BEES”) is the ninth book in my OUTLANDER series of novels which focus on Jamie Fraser and Claire Beauchamp Randall Fraser. I am currently writing and doing the historical research for this new novel. No publication date has been set yet by my publisher (see below).

After BEES is published, I will write Book Ten (no title yet), which will be the last book in the OUTLANDER series of major novels that focus on Jamie and Claire. Book Ten will be another Large Novel, so it will take some time (several years at least) to complete.

Does Jamie ever go to the future in the Outlander books?
In response to a fan tweet, Gabaldon confirmed that Jamie would never travel to the future. “Nope, never happening,” she tweeted, much to the dismay of hopeful fans. So, unless Gabaldon changes her mind for the final book of the Outlander series, it looks like Jamie Fraser is locked in the past forever.

Author Diana Gabaldon, who wrote the book series upon which the Starz TV show is based, has confirmed that it is Jamie’s ghost that Frank saw, but she’s also stated repeatedly that Jamie cannot travel forward in time. . If you’re up to date on the series, then you know that Jamie is not dead at the age of 25.
