Note that even on the South West Coast Path these are fairly unusual. . This picture shows part of a ‘severe’ grade section on the St Ives to Penzance Coast Path trail on the route to Zennor. Whilst its not inherently dangerous, there are scrambles up over these bolders as demonstrated by Ellie from Encounter Walking!
Can you wild camp on the South West Coast Path?
Officially, the coast path is not really suited to wild camping. If you want to camp wild you should ask permission from whoever owns the land, but finding out which farmhouse owns the field you want to camp in is no easy feat; you may find yourself trudging along miles of country lanes only to be told ‘no’.
