I was told that the Kaplan MBE QBank questions are not real MBE questions, as in, they are not taken from previous MBE’s. . The questions aren’t taken from previous MBEs, but some professors at Kaplan have taken multiple bar exams across the country and use that experience to draft the practice questions.

Is Themis or Barbri better?
Barbri provides much better essay materials. The book of essays and examples is great. Themis graded more essays, but I didn’t feel like I had as many outlines to review and learn. If you don’t feel like you are a good technical writer, Barbri’s materials are decent.

It does not use real MBE questions. These questions are invented by Barbri and do not best reflect the questions you will see on the MBE. (Note: barbri recently admitted to offering only 100 released MBE questions. To our knowledge, these questions do not appear in Barbri’s simulated exam.
Is Barbri enough to pass the bar?
I’ve passed two bar exams using only barbri, so it’s definitely possible. I’d say watch how you are doing on the MBE sets, and if you are consistently getting better than 70%, you probably don’t need anything else (unless you want to for your own peace of mind.) I did Barbri, Critical Pass and Adaptibar.
