This is the true story of Maria (Naomi Watts) and her husband Henry (Ewan McGregor), along with their sons Lucas, Thomas and Simon, who are vacationing in Thailand when the tsunami strikes on December 26, 2004. Maria and Lucas are both swept away by the huge waves, but manage to cling together.
